Welcome to the Eastern Cape

The Eastern Cape has begun to burgeon as a holiday and conference destination. Home to the city of Port Elizabeth, also known as the "friendly city", the Eastern Cape continues to offer "stress free holidays and conferencing", with it's rare blend of cultures, lifestyle and ethnic traditions. The Eastern Cape, which has warm summers and mild winters along the coast, is also the eastern gateway to the Garden Route, where majestic mountains, deep river gorges and forests meet the sea. The Eastern Cape offers a wide range of holiday destinations, from luxury hotels and seaside resorts to a variety of game reserves.

Port Elizabeth is the main gateway city to the region, and forms part of the Greater Nelson Mandela Metropole. The province's second largest city is East London, which is situated at the mouth of the Buffalo River and is South Africa's only commercial river port. Port Elizabeth has a large variety of venues catering for up to 1400 delegates, with smaller venues catering for 50 or less delegates with the medium size venues catering from 50 to 300. They are situated in the city, surrounding game reserves, seaside resorts and luxury hotels.
