Open spaces and the symmetry of both Natural and man made structures play many roles at Plettenberg park, not only in terms of the panoramic views across the ocean and savannah behind, but also within the Architecture of the hotel itself.
Plettenberg Park is an all-weather hotel, brilliant and lazy in the summer sunshine, with spectacular arching views of the ocean, whilst in winter experience the wild, blustery and enveloping days saturated with log fires and wraps.
ACCOMMODATION:
The original wing consists of 4 bedrooms, (2 sea facing and 2 lake facing), while the new wing consists of 5 large sea facing rooms. A total of 9 rooms are on offer. Unrivelled views of the Cape's beautiful coastline are paramount.
Rooms contain large sleigh beds (sleigh beds (single & double) with ample cupboard space, fireplace, television, VCR, mini bar, coffee machine and hi-fi.

Whether it be mussels, freshly harvested that day, freshly caught line-fish expertly prepared, a chicken dish, or a rack of tender "Karoo" lamb, the cuisine is guaranteed to tantilize and seduce.

OUTDOOR PURSUITS:
Plettenberg Park is situated on 200 Ha of land with approximately 3 km of cliff faced shoreline. The park has three natural wetlands plus a large dam filled with Bass. The indigenous vegetation consists of Fynbos and Proteas.
The park abounds with small game and animals such as Grysbok, Mongoose, Baboons, Bushbuck and Cape Clawless Otter as well as several species of snake. Over 65 bird species have been noted on the reserve including Loerie, Herons, Falcons, Crowned Eagles, Spotted Eagle Owls, Giant Kingfishers, Sunbirds and Cormorants.
Plettenberg Park has an outstanding coastline which is an excellent platform from which to view the Humpback Whales that visit this stretch of Ocean in winter, as well as the numerous schools of Dolphin that are playful residents all year round.
Relax in the sun at our cove beach situated below the hotel, or spend the day around the hotel.
Swimming in the pool or savouring all the amenities on offer. Boat trips can be arranged to view the seals, dolphins, sharks, penguins, sea-bird or Whales.
Travel on foot through the Tsitsikamma Forest or stretch your legs along the Outeniqua Coastline and feast your eyes on the wonders of creation.
Explore the Nature's Valley Lagoon, River and Sandy Beach just 30 minutes drive away, canoeing trips are available at the Lagoon.
Visit the Old Whaling station and the Chapel of St Andrew.
Take time to view Monkeyland- a primate sanctuary for captive-bred species.
Experience the world famous Storms River Canyon, playground to river rafting, climbing, Bungi-Jumping, Kloofing, Mountain bike trails, Bass and Fly Fishing, Diving and Snorkeling. All can be booked through local tour operators.
